Draft Rankings
Since every league has different scoring systems, rankings
are pretty useless in organizing who to draft when your turn comes up. You cannot simply use a ranking list based on
the typical 5x5 league format if your scoring is different at all. For example, quite a few leagues are now using On
Base Percentage or OPS as a 6th hitting category. This creates an entirely new evaluation basis for ranking players.
Players like Alfonso Soriano, who are great in 5x5 leagues, now has a huge weak spot in OBP. Would you then rank someone
like Grady Sizemore ahead of him with the 395 OBP he put up in 2007 even though Soriano is clearly superior in power and speed?
