Fantasyland - Sam Walker - Just finished this book about a sport writer who joins the top fantasy baseball league in the world and goes to all ends to win it. It is fantastic!  Great background on quite a few "experts" in rotisserie baseball and some interesting history on the game.  The book focuses on the 2004 season and it is interesting to hear the thoughts of the author about players and games that I know the outcome of.  It is like I know if he is making a good or bad decision as he is describing it to me.  If you play fantasy baseball, PICK IT UP

Moneyball - Michael Lewis - Behind the scenes look at how Billy Beane has managed the Oakland A's this decade.  He has used what was a unique method for managing a baseball organization, identifying undervalued assets in the market place, and built a winning team. Same method works in fantasy baseball.

The Blind Side - Michael Lewis - Story about a high school football player who takes to the game late in life with the guidance of a family who takes him in and helps him understand what a family looks like.  Hard not to like this book.

License to Deal - Jerry Crasnick - Inside look at the relationship between an up and coming agent and his star client, baseball pitcher Dontrelle Willis.  Not unlike Jerry McGuire, fewer clients, more attention.  I follow Willis much more closely because of this book, hard not to root for him after reading.

:07 Seconds or Less - Jack McCallum - Unique behind the scenes documentary of the 2006 season for the Phoenix Suns.  McCallum has unlimited access to the players, coaches and management.  He spends the entire season with the team and describes in great detail both the basketball side of things as well as the people themselves.  My favorite part is his descriptions of how the players interract with each other and how mercurial Shawn Marion is.

Now I Can Die in Peace - Bill Simmons - Complilation of articles and stories from the now famous ESPN.com writer "The Sports Guy".

Can I Keep My Jersey - Paul Shirley - Follow the days in the life of a fringe NBA player as he struggles to stay in the league and what he is willing to do to keep getting paid to play the game.  Interesting experiences playing in Europe/Russia.  Shirley first received attention for blogging his season with the Phoenix Suns.

Playing for Pizza - John Grisham - Fictional story of a failed NFL quarterback who ends up playing "professional" football in Parma, Italy.  The football action described is "ok", but the description of life in Italy is fantastic, from the people to the food, sure makes me want my next trip to be to the boot.
